Oreo Galloway Bull 2yr old need to sell - (West Pensacola for sale in Pensacola, Florida

$900

I have a Dutch Belted Galloway- Oreo for sale. He is right around two years old. I bought him to learn about cows and for him to cut my grass. He is getting to the point where he has really started to put on weight. He has started eating too much now for my size of yard. I have a few choices: sell him to someone for breeding, sell him to someone for fattening up and slaughter, sell to a person that wants to own a tame cow to learn with, or to sell part of him to another family for slaughter. He is simply too much meat for my family. He weights around 750 right now. When he is done fattening, he could be around 1000 or so. I figure I could get about 300lbs to 350 lbs of meat from him. Which is too much for me. Ideally, I would like to sell him "as is " for a reasonable offer, but I would not mind selling half and spliting the price of corn and butchering that is needed to get him finished out. This is unfortunate for my pet cow, but I knew the time would come when I bought him. I listed him as a pet before but few were interested. He is very tame and playful but is not trained to lead or load. He lets me pet him, groom him, and wash him really well. I have pictures below that show him dry and wet. The wet ones are to show his meat mass. As you can see, I have not started fattening him up yet but you can see he is filling out well with regular food and hay. His mom weighed 800lbs with normal feeding so he should be at least that in a few months with regular feeding only. If you are unfimiliar with Oreo cattle, they are kin to Lowline Angus, which were breed to have shorter legs so that moreof the meat weight would be in the normal sized upper body. The meat is basically similar to Angus. Please call Bobby at

I have more photos too.
