For the Architect, gzppkpkk
6-6-06 thru 9-15-07 Started @ $7.50/hr. Ending rate $15.00/hr.
On the Snug Harbor Condominiums, I was assigned to special projects for a 12 story 90 unit condo, where I responded directly to the architect, effecting changes & corrections. Initially I performed interior and exterior steel stud framing as part of a 5 man team.
I participated in lay-out both on the unit and structural level. Later worked solo, setting up & operating an on-site pre-fab shop for both wood and steel applications, where I milled and installed, all 600 sets of door and window bucks, as well as the 200' of balcony chases on each of the 12 floors, also pre-fabbed, roof components, built all the soffets, and gables, did some PVC drain work and minor HVAC duct work. I also helped coordinate and facilitate activities with the electrical contractor. Hung drywall and exterior sheeting products. Often I was called upon to work extended or unusual hours to facilitate the work of others.

Audrey Estates, Bulldozed down, two city blocks in downtown St. Louis and built 16 -- 2 story -- 2000 sq.ft. homes. Assisted with, coordinated, and facilitated all sub-contractors thru all phases of the project; from infrastructure planning to completion. Ordered and procured all material for framing and finish. Prepared the vouchers and came to be responsible for cash-flow management. Personally laid-out, and lead all frame and finish carpentry & trained several un-skilled, disadvantaged youth as carpenters. On 5 of the houses I installed all of the duct work -- and on 4 of them I did the shingle roofing. I was trained as a mobile crane operator and operated the crane for the setting of the trusses on 12 of the homes.
